Dave at his Novice Station at age 14

This is I at age 14, operating my novice station, KN5HJS. The rig is a gorgeous Hallicrafter SX99 with the Heath DX35 transmitter. Notice manual log is on bed. Also note the tube type broadcast receiver on head of bed. If I were going to do that over again, the receiver would have been on the right hand side of the desk. Also, i see I had a KN5HJS QSL card. I see an ARRL membership certificate on the wall.
