My Grandmother Wassman's Family "the Blows"

Standing in back from left to right: My grandmother Sybil, Robert (Robbie), Mary, Charles (Elmer), Fred, and Unknown sister.
Seated in front: Great-grandmother Rebecca (Smith), Sherman, Great-grandfather Warren G. Blow.

Mary third from left on back row, married Chris Shaw who traveled to the Puyallup, Washington Valley as pioneers in a covered wagon. They lived on a road that latter was called Shaw road where I lived for a time. Much about her and her family is in the Puyallup Historical Museum. This picture of her was taken years latter when she went back to South Dakota. This was actually one of the first times my grandmother had ever seen her sister Mary. There were two other sisters. One was Charity and the other was Irene. One of these may be the daughter in the picture. I got this picture from Mrs. Ruth Arnold (Wassmann) who identified the persons in the picture for me. I have the names of the children confirmed by the 1880 census and several family group sheets that I have gotten from close family members through the years and they confirm the names.

Great-grandfather Warren G. Blow

Warren's mother's name was Charity Harrington. Click here to see Harrington line

Great Grandmother Rebecca Blow ( Smith ) from a bad picture but all I have of her younger

Great Great Grandmother Smith. Nothing more is know about her at this time other than she died shortly after this picture was taken.
